Shark Boy and Lava Girl

Well, we went and saw Shark Boy and Lava Girl this afternoon. My 6 year old loved it, my 4 year old thought the 3D was scary, and my 3D glasses were all scratched up so I couldn't really enjoy the 3D very much. We got there too late for popcorn, but the kids weren't too upset because I gave them a piece of gum. Anyway, I didn't particularly enjoy the movie, but the kids loved it and we have had fun talking about it - that's what really counts in the end.

Geocaching

I have a 4 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. My daughter's last day of school was yesterday and her fun summer camp doesn't start until next Tuesday. Anyway, we are hanging out today, and I thought it might be fun to take the kids out on their first geocache. If you are unfamiliar with geocaching you can read about it at http://www.geocaching.com/. We took my GPS and we went on a "Treasure Hunt." We found an easy one and it was just a blast. The kids were so excited that they found the treasure before the pirates got to it. :) Anyway, we played at the park for awhile after that - and came home and had snacks and now they are relaxing and watching Dora - "yum yum yum yum yum" says the backpack. I had to do something else before I poked my own eyes out and shoved socks in my ears. Dora is not my favorite show. Anyway, we are going to have a very special day today - we are going out to lunch at McDonald's, and then off to the opening day of "Sharkboy and Lavagirl" the kids couldn't be anymore excited. I hope they have a good day and we can have a temper tantrum free day - what are the chances of that?

First Post

Hi -

This is my first post in my new blog. I don't even know if I have much to blog about, but maybe I can find some cool things. My life is pretty full and busy. I am a mom, a wife, I work outside the home as a manager at Intel, I'm a student struggling to get her MBA, and I just try to enjoy my days as much as I can.
